Comedian & Speaker Pete Crofts founded the world's first bookshop specialising in Humour, Comedy and Laughter.

1980

Humourversity

The Bookshop becomes the Pete Crofts Humourversity and is one of the first places in the world to teach humour and comedy skills.

1983

National Humour Conference

Pete organises the first ever National Humour Conference in Australia, bringing together comedians and academics.

1990's

Well-Known Performers

The Humourversity became a comedy institution training many well-known comedians like Russell Gilbert, Rachel Berger, Tim Smith, Dave Grant & Elliot Goblett

1999

A Global Message

Pete represents Australia internationally speaking at the World Humour Conference and the National Achievers Congress

Everyone's a comedian

1000's people have done Humourversity programs. Teaching materials are refined into a duplicatable modular system.

Humourversity 2.0

The new humourversity is born. Programs modernised, website finally built. Thomas & Gavin take over program delivery.
